Between 2001 and 2007 I photographed the colour and the passion of Italian football; from the big clubs and their famous players, to lower division football, women's football, through to kids kicking a ball around in the street and other peripheral subjects relating to the game.

Hero and Legend. Local boy Agostino Di Bartolomei led Roma to only their second championship in 1983. Twenty years later his picture still adorns an artisan’s shop window in Rome.
